Following the dedication, two men, Rev. Smith and Rev. Lee, were on the charge. Services were held in Pleasant Point School and Cook School house, Bethesda, Zuma, Carbon Cliff, Watertown, and Fairfield. These men preached three or four sermons each Sunday, exchanging pulpits so that each man was at a given place every two weeks.
During this time, a great revival was held at Fairfield. This was probably the greatest revival ever held here.
Early in 1875, Rev. Lee was dismissed from this charge and Rev. Bradbute of Geneseo, a retired minister, was called to the field and served until September 1876.
