Before there was a church
On May 3, 1857, a Methodist Sunday School was organized and held in the Fairfield schoolhouse.
The school was located on the Southwest side of the intersection of 115th Ave N and 235th ST N Port Byron, the current site of the Fairfield Cemetery.
